In the future, I will try and refrain from simply linking to Andrew Sullivan and calling it a blog. For the present, though, I don't seem to be able to help myself.
The November issue of the Atlantic has many marvelous articles, including one of the first major pieces of journalism I know of on the subject of transgender children, but here I'd like to highlight Sullivan's sharp, serious and seriously witty essay on blogging.
